Annual Events
Chamber Sponsored Events
The Owasso Chamber sponsors events throughout the year that provides networking opportunities for our members and also brings families together. From the annual Trail Days activities to Christmas parades; from our Retail Trade Campaign to our Annual Auction and Golf Tournaments, the chamber leads the way for fun activities in Owasso.
Membership Luncheons
Held on the first Wednesday of each month. These luncheons feature a speaker to update and educate members on current business trends and occurrences.
Home & Garden Show
Held in Tulsa in March, this show provides an excellent opportunity to promote the Owasso community to the approximately 65,000 visitors at the show.
Trail Days
Owasso’s largest festival celebrates this city’s colorful past and progressive future. This three-day festival provides entertainment for Owasso citizens and attracts thousands of people from surrounding communities into Owasso.
Miss Owasso Scholarship Pageant
This event features young women from the community competing for the Miss Owasso title, cash and tuition scholarships offered by the pageant. The winner then competes in the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant.
Leadership Owasso
The leadership program is designed to identify citizens in the Owasso area who are interested in acquiring and exercising leadership skills to benefit the Owasso area.
Annual Fall Golf Classic
Area business and community leaders are invited to join the chamber on the golf course once a year. The golf course is a great place to do business.
Annual Auction
This event is traditionally held each Fall. The auction not only provides a lot of entertainment, but offers many great bargains.
Annual Luncheon
Held in January to install new directors and officers of the Chamber and to honor outstanding volunteers for their efforts.
Annual Retreat
Each Fall the Chamber hosts a retreat where members meet with the city staff and other key community leaders to plan short and long range goals.
Owasso Trail Days
It all started in the 1950’s with an annual city celebration in Owasso called Progress Days. These festivities were held on Main Street where civic clubs, churches and youth groups set up booths that featured ‘down-home’ cookin’ and games.
Progress Days was discontinued in the min 1970’s with no celebrations being held until the idea was revived by the Chamber of Commerce in 1984. The Board of Directors then decided that the start of a new annual celebration deserved a fresh start with a new name and different activities, thus, “Owasso Trail Days” was born.
The first Trail Days was held in August 1984. Included in these festivities were food and game booths, talent show, swim meet, run, arts and crafts show, live entertainment, a carnival and special sales by local merchants.
Join the Chamber as we bring families together at Owasso Trail Days scheduled for the first weekend in May.
Mr. & Mrs. Trail Days
Each year a Mr. and Mrs. Trail Days are selected from citizens that have lived in Owasso a significant number of years. This couple serves as honorary host of Trail Days.
