Business & Industry
Owasso is ideally located to serve the business and industry sectors in our region. Minutes south of Owasso, the aerospace industry at Tulsa’s International Airport, including American Airlines, continues to provide a strong employment base for the residents of Owasso.
Minutes to the west, the expansion of the Cherokee Industrial Park has created thousands of new jobs in recent years. Many of the employees decided to make Owasso their new home. Corporations such as Whirlpool, Nordam, Bama Foods, and Wolrd-Com, and others, provide thousands of jobs that directly impact the work force, and the tax base, of Owasso. Our chamber has, and will continue, to work for job expansion in the Cherokee Industrial Park.
Just minutes away to our east, the Tulsa’s Port of Catoosa continues to grow, modernize and prosper. Today, the Port is the home of fifty-five companies with a combined employment of close to 3000 workers. The world’s most inland port is located very close to expanding residential developments inside the Owasso school district. As developments expand closer to the port, it is the goal of our chamber to nurture a strong partnership with the Port Authority and the businesses located within.
