Higher Education
The city is ideally located for access to higher learning with eight colleges and universities less than 30 minutes away and three more within an hour's drive. Ten miles away, 50 fields of study are offered through Tulsa Community College and the University of Tulsa, a nationally known private university with rigorous admission standards. Oral Roberts University, a private school emphasizing spiritual and academic growth, is about 17 miles from Owasso. Located 10 miles from Owasso, OSU-Tulsa was established in 1982 as a public consortium of four state universities: Langston University, Northeastern State University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. OSU-Tulsa offers more than 100 bachelor's and graduate degree programs.
